We are delighted to be partnering with BIRD College and we look forward to starting this journey with them!

“Bird College’s Joint Principals Shirley Coen and Luis De Abreu, are honoured to announce a new partnership with the TIRED Movement. The movement was founded in 2020 as a social enterprise to raise awareness about racial injustice within the industry and the importance of representation within all areas of the arts sector. It is imperative now, more than ever, that vocational and educational institutions work as a collective to drive meaningful change and give all our students a voice. We fully support their TIRED mission – to create a movement that is inclusive, informative and provides a safe space for honest conversations.

We look forward to working closely with the movement’s co-founder Stacey Green, so we can educate the artists and teachers of tomorrow and appropriately deliver inclusive practice in our vocational programmes.

Bird College also proudly endorses the TIRED movement’s children and adult dancewear range, SHADES, the first UK dance brand to provide four shades of skin tone in all their products to allow dancers to retain their cultural identity.”

Weʼre raising £5,000 to help towards our campaign to improve racial equity, representation and inclusion in dance education!
